Steven Detweiler Racing Scholarship
The Florida Track Club is excited to support a runner who may need help with costs associated with attending a race. The scholarship may be used to help with race entry fees, travel and lodging expenses or anything else associated with the event.
Steven Detweiler was a physics professor at UF and an active member of the Gainesville running community. In 2016, Detweiler passed away suddenly while on a training run for the Boston Marathon. The Florida Track Club hopes to honor his legacy and passion for running by awarding scholarships to local runners to help them compete in races.
